Clean Code, Software Design, and Test-Driven Development
On October 19, 2024, the ABAP community met at UTILIGENCE for an extraordinary code retreat, which was moderated by Christian Drumm and Martin Jonen. The participants delved deep into the world of software development, with a clear focus on topics such as software design, clean code, and test-driven development. Through practice-oriented exercises and lively discussions, everyone was able to take their ABAP skills to the next level.
The event was an excellent opportunity to explore the principles of clean code and learn how to write maintainable and effective software. In addition, the importance of test-driven development was emphasized and deepened with concrete examples. Another exciting topic was the use of artificial intelligence in modern software development, which opened up new perspectives and showed how this technology can make the daily work of developers easier.
At the end of the retreat, participants went home with not only expanded ABAP knowledge, but also a deeper understanding of software design and the practical use of new technologies. The event was a great success and a valuable step in the development of the ABAP community at UTILIGENCE.
